Plan a month of posts on one page
A fill-in template for a local business: three post types, a weekly rhythm, and one week filled in for a bakery.
Deciding what to post every morning is what makes posting feel like a second job. Decide once a month instead. This page takes about 30 minutes to fill in.
Step 1: four lists (15 minutes)
Write these down before you plan any dates.
| List | Write 4 of each |
|---|---|
| Products or services | The ones you want to sell more of this month |
| Questions customers ask | Word for word, from the counter, phone or DMs |
| Dates | Holidays, local events, your own changes (new hours, new staff) |
| Things you can film this week | Real, available, no props needed |
Step 2: three post types
| Type | Job | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Product | One item, one detail | Crust close-up of the rye loaf |
| Proof | Show it works or that people like it | A review you have permission to share |
| People | Who makes it and how | 5:30, the first batch |
Add one offer post a month at most. Most posts should be useful or interesting on their own.
Step 3: the weekly rhythm
| Day | Type |
|---|---|
| Monday | Product |
| Wednesday | Proof |
| Friday | People |
| Sunday (optional) | Practical: hours, events, reminders |
Three posts a week is a rhythm a one-person business can keep. If you can only do two, drop Wednesday.
Step 4: fill the grid
| Week | Monday: product | Wednesday: proof | Friday: people | Sunday |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | ||||
| 2 | ||||
| 3 | ||||
| 4 |
Example: week 1 for a bakery
This is an illustration, not a real shop.
| Day | Post | Caption first line |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Rye loaf, crust close-up | Rye loaf out of the oven at 7:40. |
| Wednesday | A regular's note (asked first) | "Is it gluten-free?" Three of our breads are. |
| Friday | 5:30, the first batch | What happens before we open the door. |
| Sunday | Weekend hours, pinned | Open 8-13 on Sunday. |
Step 5: ten minutes a week to keep it alive
- Monday: check this week's three posts are ready.
- After each post: write one result next to it (saves, shares, comments, a customer who mentioned it).
- End of month: keep the post types that got saved or shared, change the rest.
